Netflix released its latest horror web-series, titled Typewriter, starring Purab Kohli and Palomi Ghosh. The series is set in Goa and revolves around a haunted house, and a book that captures the imagination of a group of wannabe ghost hunters.
If you’re planning on watching the series, check out these tweets before your binge-session.
#typewriter a beautiful heady mixture of folk, horror, quintessential bhoot bungalow. The children add a dash of Enid Blyton to the mix which is so refreshing. @sujoy_g dada hats off. And special mention @Jisshusengupta Amit Roy Amar rahe!! #Netflix

Good engaging horror stuff from Indian Netflix ,

Story could’ve been lil more tighter but overall watchable.
“Ghoul” still remains my fav in this genre from India.#Typewriter
Started watching Typewriter on Netflix. I laughed a bit at the first scene cos it’s literally based off an old creepypasta, but apart from that, seems like a good series so far, I’m hooked.

I love the dog, I will be so upset if that dog dies.
Typewriter on Netflix. Freaky but worthy. A touch confusing towards the end. Didn’t make me throw up. Not really a children’s movie even though there’s children in it. pic.twitter.com/XZKCO9f8Wf

The setup was brilliant yet everything else spiralled into a disappointing mess #Typewriter #Netflix

#Typewriter on #Netflix is truly India’s very own ‘ #StrangerThings . Superb direction @sujoy_g . Acting, location and a gripping storyline.

However, I am unable to understand how can a program be rated 16+ when it employs kids of much younger age as main leads? 🤔
Typewriter on Netflix starts on a 'stranger things' level but ends on 'bhoot unkle' level. pic.twitter.com/S9qQk0fPX3

I just watched #typewriter on Netflix to flex on people turns out to be a nice series, except for some reddit horror story influence .5 episodes and more captivating than “Haunting of the hill house”.

@netflix Seriously, #typewriter is the opposite of #StrangerThings1. Disappointed. I was literally typing this tweet while watching the last episode and was elated to know that it was a really short episode.

Wow #typewriter was so good especially for an Indian production usually I find the more recent stuff quite cringe but this was so good, it has the Netflix original feel to it and the actors were so good, well done to everyone who worked on it 10/10, watched it in one day.

Typewriter on Netflix by Sujoy Gosh is such an inconsistent show with it’s tone, treatment and writing goes completely downhill by last episode.
— Aman (@cadence99) July 21, 2019
It’s so reminiscent of Kahani 2 in that respect where it started on a promising note & becomes ‘bakwas’ by the end!!
It started off well but, was good till the completion of 4 episodes. But then came the climax and it was probably the most predictable and thakela climax.

Last episode, which was supposed to be the best one was the worst one😒
Child actors weren’t good at all #Typewriter
#typewriter in one word..is Brilliant..a perfect blend of Famous Five of the yore and genuine horror that does not repulse. Writing , Direction, Acting , BGM & CGI are top notch. Edge of the seat and strictly daytime watch (you were warned..).

#SujoyGhosh surely losing his touch, unnecessarily lengthened the series #Typewriter on #Netflix And so many irritating characters in between to lengthen the show. Could not go farther 2nd episode but try to finish for the sake of finishing it. @NetflixIndia

How the characters/story 🎞️ of #typewriter unfolds and the way you connect the dots . You are a master story teller @sujoy_g Da and you just hold the right nerve of the audience while narrating thrillers to be specific and I was awestruck until I finished the series #Netflix pic.twitter.com/1GT6M6dlGd

Binge watched #Typewriter on @NetflixIndia, what an amazing show!! @sujoy_g you are such an amazing director, the show is completely unique in its premise and it has an awesome appeal. The entire starcast is in top form, especially the kids. Cannot wait for season 2. #Netflix
