The culprits are 18-year-old Anjali Rajpoot, a beautician based in Inderpuri and her 26-year-old partner Sumit Paswan, a manager at the Shadipur branch of 24 Karat Cash for Gold.

The duo would go door-to-door asking women if they wanted their in-house beauty services. They would enter the houses, Anjali would apply face pack taking care to apply some extra on the clients' eyelids and ask them to let the pack dry for an hour. Paswan would then move around the house and steal valuables.

“The woman would instruct the customer not to move or wash her face for an hour for best results. That would ensure Sumit moved in the house freely searching for cash or jewellery,” Vijay Kumar, the deputy commissioner of police (west) was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times
