We love revisiting the good old nostalgic years of our lives. With lesser things to worry about and abundant time to chill, the years gone by bring a smile on our face.
For 90s kids, those years remind us of a simpler time with no cellphones, outdoor games and television shows that were our most important source of entertainment. And well, they delivered without fail, with every new episode.
Hum Paanch was one such show that gave us hilarious moments every week.
The story of Anand Mathur, his five daughters, and dead wife gave us crazy episodes and we enjoyed them to the fullest.
The show first started in 1995 and had a good run of four years. The series was revived for a second season in 2005 and even that received a good response.
As per a report in TOI, the series might be coming back for a third season.
The report states that the Balaji Telefilms, the original producers are not producing it this time. Instead, the makers of the reality show, Dance India Dance, are backing the project. There will be new faces but the original essence will be retained, the report says.
The show will be titled, ‘Hum Paanch Fhir Se’ and the source in the report says:
“We will retain all the intrinsic elements and the format, but will give it a modern spin. The production house is in the process of finalising the cast, which will comprise new faces.”
