A day after Sonam Kapoor was trolled on Twitter after her ‘meat-ban misogynistic’ tweet, Sonakshi Sinha’s tweet came under scrutiny after she expressed her disappointment with Mumbai’s meat ban. Not one to shy from expressing herself, Sonakshi took to Twitter after Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation proposed a four-day ban on meat observing the Jain festival of fasting. She tweeted:
This is a free country! Welcome to BAN-istan… I meant india.. Stupid autocorrect.

What followed was a trail of tweets from people who fat-shamed her and even asked if she was feeling hungry.
@sonakshisinha chup kar moti

Some dug her old tweet about protecting animals and called her a hypocrite:

It’s shameful how voicing out valid thoughts can make you the butt of ridiculous jokes. Social media not so social?
