But here’s some good news. A startup called Ullo has come up with something that will eliminate the side-effects of a hangover altogether. Yes, you won’t need to experiment with fruit mixes and juices to cure it, because you won’t even have it in the first place. 

Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong, it is completely true. 

First, you need to know what exactly happens inside your body during a hangover. Your body goes through severe dehydration and that is what causes a headache. All the wine bottles in the world come filled with preservatives called sulphites. These sulphites are necessary because they maintain the freshness as long as the bottle of wine is kept closed for long periods of time. 

However, as soon as the bottle is opened, these sulphites are no longer needed. What this device, also known as Ullo, does is filter out all the sulphites from the bottle. So, not only does it prevent a hangover the next morning, Ullo says it also lets you experience a taste that is ‘straight from the vineyard’. And if you want a ‘purer’ drinking experience, there’s also an option to aerate the wine.  

Ullo is also pretty easy to use. All you need to do is just attach the device at the top of your glass, and pour the wine through it. The polymers filter away the sulphites and allow all the other ingredients to flow through it unaffected.
