Skipper Virat Kohli was on fire at Eden Gardens on Monday against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batsman hit an unbeaten century before India declared their second innings on 352-8, giving Sri Lanka a target of 231 to win the opening Test on final day.
The batsman, who got for a duck in the first innings, lead by example in the second. His crucial knock helped India overcome the pressure put by Sri Lankan bowlers.
It was Kohli’s 18th Test ton and 50th international hundred and he brought up the ton with a six over extra cover.
As usual Twitter erupted after Kohli brought up yet another century.
