If you’re a rock fan then you surely would know who Bono and Edge are and if you do, then brace yourself coz they’re coming to India!

U2 has confirmed that the band will be performing in Mumbai on December 15th at the DY Patil Stadium.

Speaking about their connection with India, lead vocalist, Bono added:

It will be such a thrill. There is a whole Irish-India thing! We have the same colors in the flag, our tiny little nation — Mahatma Gandhi commented on the struggle for Irish independence and warned against the violent struggle… And our prime minister, he’s a physician — he’s trained in Mumbai, his father’s from Mumbai. It’s just these kinds of links… Also, the Irish constitution influenced the Indian constitution.

U2’s Mumbai performance will also mark the final date of the Joshua Tree Tour.
