In a daring heist, burglars dug a tunnel through a concrete wall, broke into a jeweller’s shop and made away with a 350 kg vault containing 5 kg of silver and 50 gm of gold and unidentified amount of cash.
The incident took place in Saiyan area of Agra’s Kheragarh tehsil on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, reports The Times of India.

Jeweller Sonu Verma told the newspaper that there was a 4 foot long hole dug through the wall at the rear of the shop.
The shop that has been broken into twice in a year and half was robbed of 4 kg in gold and silver in April 2015. The thieves had broken into the shop through the roof then.
This is not the first time such attempt has been made. In October 2014, thieves dug a 100 foot tunnel to Punjab National Bank and broke into several lockers escaping with cash, jewellery and other valuables.
