People flooded team India with congratulations after the massive victory against Pakistan on the World Cup match on June 16th. From celebrities to politicians, everyone tweeted about them to give them a toast.
Among them, our newly appointed Home Minister, Amit Shah remarked on the victory calling the win as ‘another strike’ by India.
Another strike on Pakistan by #TeamIndia and the result is same.

Congratulations to the entire team for this superb performance.
Every Indian is feeling proud and celebrating this impressive win. #INDvPAK pic.twitter.com/XDGuG3OiyK
The comment did not go down well with Twitterati who deemed the comparison between IAF strike and the match between India-Pak in poor taste.
Don’t compare this strike with the other strike. We don’t need your Jingoism Nonsense here. Leave cricket aside atleast.

Well when u give the Home ministry to an uneducated person, this is what happens.

Dear @AmitShah yes ur team won a match. Well played.

Two things with different denominators can’t be compared. So are strikes & match. If in doubt please see results of our Nowshera counter strikes & response to IAF violation on 27 Feb19 downing two Indian jets.
Stay Surprised. https://t.co/cY089VmYIe
Stupid & jingoistic statement by the home minister of country reflects his lack of statesmanship & understanding of competitive sports. For such pathetic individuals rabble rousing is the only way to carry on as they have nothing else to show. https://t.co/vo1LiZ0PtL

Somebody tell him this is a game not a war. But that is the problem isn’t it? It has become a war by another name. https://t.co/oCitUDHbNV
Home min @AmitShah likens India win over Pakistan to ‘another strike’; yes, it’s a great win but it’s a cricket match and not war:no one died out there. We won because we played a much better game. There is still a World Cup to be won! Let’s do the chest thumping on 14th July!

Dear @AmitShah We need surgical strike on

➡️Corruption.
➡️Worst health facilities in India for Poors
➡️Those who promote communalism
➡️Rapists, Murderers
➡️Those who do Eve Teasing
➡️Those MP who don’t work for the Citizens
➡️Those who Promote casteism
Are they serious? Not to forget that both Amit Shah & Rajnath Singh had nothing to say about the 5 CRPF Jawans killed at Anantnag nor the 13 IAF pers killed in the AN-32 crash

While India defeating Pakistan has been a massive victory for the country, they need 5 more wins to qualify for the semi-finals.
