BJP President Amit Shah on Satuday, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for supporting Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students who raised ‘anti-national’ slogans on February 9, reports India Today
Shah inaugurated the National Convention of BJYM in Mathura. Addressing the BJP cadres, he said, “There is a strange debate that has engulfed the nation. Anti-national slogans which call for breaking of India and eulogize Afzal Guru are being supported under the garb of freedom of expression.”
The BJP President took on Congress Vice-President, Rahul Gandhi, who slammed the Modi government for suppressing the voice of the people. “Shame on the Congress party. Their vice-president (Rahul Gandhi) says that we shouldn’t stifle their voices.” Shah said.
Shah went on to add, “If shouting anti-national slogans in freedom of expression, then what is treason?” he asked.
