In today’s day and age, phones have taken over our lives. We can’t seem to go a minute without looking at our screens, be it to change a song at a red light, check our messages or even respond to social media notifications.

But every time we look at our phones, we become a danger to ourselves and others on the road. Distracted drives are the primary cause of road accidents where most of them tend to be – yes, you guessed that right – on their phones!  45% of road accident victims were pedestrians and it goes without saying that the ones responsible majorly were distracted drivers.

When you do anything that divides your attention while driving, it becomes a subconscious act solely done through muscle memory. And somehow all of us think that a horrible thing won’t happen to us. A quick scroll through your phone in order to send that email or scroll through social media might seem like a completely harmless moment for you, but it could devolve into a huge fiasco.

Apollo Tyres have come out with a campaign #NothingToSeeHere where they have taken the initiative to deny drivers content by using their social media. Presenting to you the blank slate, devoid of anything.

They have gone on to purge their instagram of any content to encourage drivers to get off your phones and concentrate on the road. We believe that precaution is better than cure, and Apollo Tyres’ #NothingToSeeHere campaign further urges people to stay safe by following one simple rule of not using our phones while driving.

It’s time we begin taking road safety seriously. They say don’t drink and drive, we say don’t scroll and drive! Put down your phones because there is #NothingToSeeHere.
