Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s newly appointed Delhi spokesperson Tajinder Bagga on Sunday filed a complaint against senior lawyer and former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan for ‘derogatory’ tweet against Lord Krishna.

What had Bhushan said?

Commenting on Uttar Pradesh’s newly formed anti-Romeo squads to curb eve-teasing, Bhushan tweeted:

Later, Bhushan clarified his remarks by saying:

This prompted Bagga to file a police complaint against Bhushan for hurting religious sentiments at the Tilak Marg police station. There is no FIR yet.

Bagga told ANI:

“This is not the first time that he (Prashant Bhushan) has given these kinds of statements. At times he says Kashmir should be given to Pakistan and at times he gives statements on Bharatiya Sena and then at times he says the Bharatiya Sena rapes. Then he alleges that the Bharatiya Sena thrashes the innocents,” he added.

Not just Bagga, but even Delhi BJP’s media convener Praveen S Kapoor took to twitter to criticise Bhushan, tagging BJP President Amit Shah, UP Chief minister Yogi Adutyanath and minister Urja Sharma.
