Losing both her hands in a bomb blast in her teens didn’t take this woman’s hopes and aspirations away.
After years of surgeries and rehabilitation, Malvika Iyer, now 28, is now a disability rights activist, TEDx speaker and member of the United Nations IANYD’s Working Group.
And recently, Iyer added another feather to her cap when she cooked for the first time after losing her hands.
An excited Iyer recently tweeted:
When I lost both my hands to the bomb blast, I’d convinced myself that in this life I’d never be able to cook on my own.

Her achievement didn’t go unnoticed and was praised by many, including celebrity chef Vikas Khanna who tweeted:
So here is my promise and dream @MalvikaIyer – to cook with you one day. You make the World a better home. 👏👏👏 https://t.co/YlBr4Hadbc
