As Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrates its 21st anniversary today, the Tiranaga basks in the glory of the country’s pride and victoriously flutters on the snow-capped mountains of Kargil.

On such a joyous occasion to pay homage to the soldiers who put the nation before their lives, we interacted with a few defence brats whose parents served in the Kargil War. We asked the millennials how they remembered the war and experienced the Kargil War through their anecodtes.

While some of them narrated their parent’s war stories in their own words, others shared their personal experiences, all of which gave us goosebumps and a left us with a lump in our throats.
