Everyone knows how terrible Delhi’s air pollution is. So much so, that the state government on Friday said that starting January, Delhi cars with odd and even license plates can only be driven on alternate days . That’s one stringent measure right there.
Maybe that’s why when The Hindu tweeted out an image of Congress’ Member of Parliament from Kaliabor Assam, Gaurav Gogoi, wearing a surgical mask — the first reaction was that the poor chap was just probably saving face (pun intended) from the visible smog.
This tweet captures how the politician feels about it:

Other news agencies also spotted him with his mask face on:

Yup, he’s making no bones about how he feels about Delhi’s air pollution.
The Congress is really keen on raising the odd-even number traffic control scheme of Delhi government in Rajya Sabha. Turns out they are even protesting demanding VK Singh’s resignation:

Here’s hoping that we get a handle on the Capital’s ever-rising pollution levels, whichever way it is.
