Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel’s son was allegedly prohibited from boarding a Qatar Airways flight to Greece after he arrived in a heavily drunk state at the airport in Ahmedabad.
According to IANS, Jaimin Patel, a land dealer was intoxicated to a level where he could not even walk straight. He was accompanied by his wife and their daughter and were stopped from boarding the 4 am flight.
An official also said that Patel had indulged in an argument with the staff at the airport.
Meanwhile, rubbishing the claims, Nitin Patel said that this was a ploy to defame his son and that he was unwell and not drunk.
The Minister added that his opponents were trying to spread false information order to mar the image of the family.
