Twitter account of Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian was hacked on Monday and some obscene comments were posted on the micro-blogging site by unidentified hackers.
The hackers sent out two tweets that linked to an adult hookup site.

However, the account has now been restored and all objectionable content has been deleted.
Soon after, Subramanian also posted an apology tweet.
My twitter account was hacked. My profuse apologies for the nuisance/offensive tweets that were sent out as a result.
