Yes. The political satire page on Facebook is apparently calling it quits. The page, that became a social hub for liberals across the country in a matter of a few months might no longer grace our timelines. The page admin, in a post, said that it was a good run but it was not worth “fucking bullet” in his head. In his own words, he had grown tired of arguing with people for the last 5 months.

He said, “It’s funny how you think you can never write a book until you have an audience”. He said that while some of his favourite writers were as prolific, they were not being abused every 5 minutes. The admin spoke of his frustration with the audience and said that he had to argue with people who he thought were on the same side as him.

I think the time has come to call it quits. It was a good run but ultimately I realised that you guys are not worth a fucking bullet in my fucking head. I’m tired of arguing with people for the last 5 months. I have worked hard over this period and have written over 80,000 words of original ‘content’ in this short span. It’s funny how you think you can never write a book until you have an audience and then somehow you can’t wait to write each day. Some of my favourite writers were as prolific…only they didn’t have someone call them a “madarchod” every 5 minutes. I thank you guys for reading through my random thoughts. But now it’s come to the point where I have to argue with people who I thought were on the same side as me. I’m tired of explaining the intention behind my words again and again and again. Your interaction with me has opened up a side inside that I didn’t even know existed but in the bargain it has exhausted me to no end. So I bid you goodbye. Cheers.
Here is the original Facebook post that he put up this morning:
Now, to be honest, it is quite sad that the page has to go. For those of us tired with the authority, the page had been a source of laughter and relief. For those of us, who stand firmly with the authority, this was a page to look for anti-nationals. Either way, the page was entertaining as long as it lived.
