Siachen, in Jammu and Kashmir, is one of the world’s harshest battlefields and yet Indian soldiers posted there stand guard with no complaints.
And on this Republic Day, pizza chain Dominos decided to treat them for their service with a wonderful surprise – free pizzas.
Dominos India sent a team at 20,000 ft. to deliver pizzas at the army base in Siachen.

Later, the fast food joint posted photos on their social media handle, with a message that they were honored to have served our soldiers.
We are honoured to have served hot Domino’s pizzas to our brave Soldiers and Officers at Siachen as a gesture of our gratitude for their untiring service to the nation.#DominosinSiachen #Republicday2019 #Dominos pic.twitter.com/DhrwEjCekW

Siachen is one of the most adverse army bases, where the temperature drops to as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius in winter.
And clearly, for the soldiers who stand guard in such harsh conditions and proudly serve our country, this seemingly simple gesture was a definite treat.
Kudos to Dominos for bringing a smile on the face of our tireless warriors.
