Simone Burns, an Irish international lawyer, was in the news last year for verbally abusing an Air Indian crew after being refused alcohol on her flight from Mumbai to London.

Back in April 2019, she was sentenced to jail for six months on the charges of being found drunk on an aircraft after a video of her abusing a flight attendant went viral on social media.
According to reports, Burns had allegedly committed suicide. Talking to The Telegraph, a Sussex police spokesperson said:
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the next of kin have been informed. The matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”

Reports suggest that she had spat at a flight attendant during her racist rant. These were her words:
“Indian money-grabbing c***s… I’m a f*****g international lawyer.”
Burns was also ordered to pay £300 (₹27,111) as compensation to the person she assaulted for the insulting act.
