Kapil, who talked in Punjabi, began by saying that he doesn’t normally campaign for political parties but wishes that people vote and pick the best person. Praising Ghuggi, he said “Ghuggi is a nice man and is like an elder brother to me. I believe he will do good things.” 

Kapil said good people should be brought to power so they can lead the nation on the path of progress. “Ghuggi is a great man and I urge you all to vote for Ghuggi to ensure a bright future for generations to come.” he said.

AAP has fielded Ghuggi from Bhatala constituency. 

Ghuggi is a native of Khokhar Faujian village in Batala. He joined AAP in February as its Punjab convener replacing Sucha Singh Chhotepur who was removed from the post after a video clip surfaced showing him allegedly taking bribe in exchange for poll tickets.

Interestingly, Kapil hasn’t yet endorsed Navjot Singh Sidhu, a permanent on his television show and “unannounced CM candidate of the Congress”. Kapil also targetted PM Narendra Modi on Twitter last year alleging he was being harassed by the local municipal body.
