Death is uncertain. You could have planned a million ways to make sure your loved ones go out peacefully, and you must have thought of the perfect ways of saying farewell, but in truth, you can't plan death.
So when the ones you know do not have long, ask for some little things, it is advised that you fulfill their wishes. And that is what Twitter user Adam Schemm did for his grandfather.
Schemm's grandad wanted to have one last beer with his sons before he moved on.
My grandfather passed away today.— Adam Schemm (@AdamSchemm) November 21, 2019
Last night all he wanted to do was to have one last beer with his sons. pic.twitter.com/6FnCGtG9zW
He passed away the very next day. But this post about his last wish on Twitter has opened up an emotional rollercoaster and it has quite a few visitors.
My grandmom did the same thing but with shots of Bailey’s 😭💓 pic.twitter.com/LjSg757YIn— gnocchi plate (@brussproutsrock) November 21, 2019
I lost my grandpa a year ago. It took all his strength but we got him out to eat the best steak money could buy. Besides steak, all he wanted was a ‘Wisconsin’ Old Fashion and to try espresso for the first time. He was alive for one more night before he passed 7 days later. pic.twitter.com/eF2HagGcx4— Michael Smith (@WIbikeGuy) November 22, 2019
Did the same thing with my Dad in May. Cold beer and a Yankee game. My condolences pic.twitter.com/aNSULc7AT8— Robert Dorsch (@RichterSupt) November 22, 2019
I don’t know you... but I felt this. Days before my grandpa passed he let my dad and I know he wanted a cigar and a beer. We made it happen. I’m so sorry for your loss. Your grandpas smile is one for the books! pic.twitter.com/HDv3y2kLeA— Ben Riggs (@RenBiggs) November 21, 2019
Mom passed in the spring. Her last pic in palliative with my newest pup, who we named after her. My condolences to your family. pic.twitter.com/mV1gOfiRz1— Blake Stephens (@oaklakebatman) November 22, 2019
It is truly heartwarming to see people getting to do what they wanted before they move on from this life. So don't waste any of your time waiting for a tomorrow if you have a loved one who needs you, be there now!
