One of Mumbai’s favourite restaurants, Cafe Zoe, is shutting down by the end of this month.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the cafe that was opened in 2012 will be last operational on 30th September.
Founded by Jeremie Horowitz and Tarini Mohindar, the cafe always buzzed with office people. Constructed in a warehouse style look, it is loved by all for its ambience.
Cosy interiors and great food prepared by the team of Chef Viraf Patel are some other reasons that make this place popular.
Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror, one of the founders Horowitz said:
“Everything in our story has been extraordinary. It may sound cheesy, but this restaurant’s tale is genuinely one of happiness, passion and love – straight up from the way Bombay welcomed us eight years ago, to the many amazing and warm messages pouring in as word of our closing spreads.”
Mumbaikars expressed sadness over the news of shutting down of the cafe which gave them many happy memories.
Quite sad to hear Cafe Zoe is closing. Classy, vibrant, never too loud with excellent food – my favourite Lower Parel Cafe till date with the best fries in the city, at par with Table Colaba.

Really disappointing. They say running a cafe / restaurant underlines how not easy it is to do business in Mumbai. Sad to see Zoe go. pic.twitter.com/QZajjgWDYW

Will be missed.
Beautiful space too. Wish o could afford it as an office.
You could walk into Cafe Zoe and go from student in ugly backpack+rain shoes to a journalist in a NY-based rom com just because of the vibe

Big ups to their staff – letting me sit at those corner tables ALL DAY clinging to an Americano because broke lifehttps://t.co/GfYzbqx4mp
No particular reason has been cited for the cafe’s shutdown and as per reports, the team hasn’t planned anything for future.
