We often see a lot of commotion between Hindus and Muslims on communal grounds. However, time and again, some people reinstate our faith in humanity with their generous gestures and set examples for others to follow. Recently, one such touching news came from Maharashtra. In a heartening gesture, eight Muslim men from Mumbra carried out the funeral rites of a Hindu man who died in the middle of the night.
As reported by NDTV, Khalil Pawne, Fahad Dabir, Nawaz Dabir, Rahil Dabir, Shaban Khan, Maqsood Khan, Farooque Khan, Mohammad Kasam Shaikh performed the last rites of 65-year-old Waman Kadam who had no one around then except his wife. These boys made necessary arrangements for the funeral and then carried his body to the crematorium at around 3 AM and performed the last rites.



The residents of the Muslim dominated Mumbra area praised the boys for this kind gesture. Mumbra-Kalwa MLA Jitendra Awhad lauded them and shared this heartwarming incident through a Facebook post. He wrote –
