If you hate placing your iPad/ tablet separately during security check in airports, then here is some good news.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security(BCAS) has decided that ‘standalone’ X-ray of personal electronic devices without detachable batteries like iPads and Tablets will be stopped, says this report by The Times of India.
However, laptops will still have go through security check separately as most of them have detachable batteries.
On Thursday, BCAS conveyed its decision to the CISF and told the paramilitary force to consider this at the earliest.
In the West, tablets are allowed to be screened along with the bag. Only laptops have to go through security check-up separately, the report adds.
