A 12-year-old Odisha girl who was brought to Uttar Pradesh four months back by her uncle and then sold for Rs 50,000, was sexually assaulted for days by her buyers. But her ordeal didn’t stop even after she managed to escape her buyers. She was kidnapped by two other men near a bus stand in Palwal, Haryana and then was raped in a field , The Indian Express reports.

While police has arrested the two men who raped the girl in a field, the Haryana police has launched a manhunt for the girl’s uncle and her buyers.

The incident came to light after a Palwal villager found the child lying in a field on November 30. The girl was then taken to a local women’s police station where she narrated her ordeal.

According to the girl’s complaint, after coming to Mathura in UP, her uncle had expressed his wish to marry her but when she refused, he allegedly sold her to people who were already known to him for Rs 50,000.

Police has registered a case in the incident and started investigations.

Meanwhile, the girl has been kept at a child protection home where efforts are being made to send her back to Odisha.
