In sharp contrast to politicians posing for cameras with brooms at intentionally littered places, a video that is being widely shared online, shows Puducherry CM V Narayanasamy stepping into a drain barefoot and cleaning the waste.

The activity was a part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which came to a close on 2 October 2018 and Narayanasamy spent around 10 minutes clearing a drain near the Nellithope signal.
