Minister of External Affairs (MEA) Sushma Swaraj has made a mark for herself on social media. It helps that she has picked up tips from the best — Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
Now, sensing the mood during the #ChennaiFloods , Swaraj has put her best foot forward and made the following declaration on Twitterland :
If your passport is lost or damaged in floods, pl go to any of three PSKs in Chennai. They will issue u fresh passport free of charge. Pl RT

She even delegates like a boss:
I have asked my colleague @Gen_VKSingh to resolve all Passport issues. Pl raise these matters with him.

Twitter, obviously, came up with its own set of replies:
@SushmaSwaraj Please mention the identification documentation, ofcourse its not without identification. What if they have lost identification

@SushmaSwaraj @bsindia Commendable initiative and leadership

So what if the response ranged from appreciation to people just taking this as an opportunity to crib about passports-long-pending, this just goes to show that MEA Swaraj definitely knows her sh*t.
It pays to have a social media-savvy MEA!
