Lashing out at journalist Arnab Goswami for his conduct and various other issues, MB Rajesh, a CPM Lok Sabha MP from Palakad, Kerala has penned an open letter for Goswami.

Rajesh said that the former was the “most unethical journalist” he’s ever encountered. Rajesh, who had participated in a debate on Goswami’s show on Republic TV alleges that the topic for discussion was changed at the last moment when he came on-air.

While he was called to speak on three years of Narendra Modi government, once he was on-air, the topic was changed to Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s speech against the Indian Army. The MP added that he chose to participate in the discussion otherwise Goswami would have “repeatedly scream the lie that he (Rajesh) ran away from the show,” And he wanted to avoid such a situation.

Speaking at a function recently, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri had said that the imposition of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) on Kannur would result in clashes between the people and the Army. “If they are given extreme powers, the Army can do anything to anybody.”

“If they see more than four people standing together, they can shoot them. They can even take away a woman and rape her. Nobody has the right to question them. This is the situation wherever the Army has been deployed,” Kodiyeri said.

Rajesh added that despite of telling him that Balakrishnan’s remarks were not against the army but on the atrocities committed in the name of AFSPA, Goswami continued his outburst and screaming.

“It was evident from your substandard and abusive remarks against the CPI(M) that your sense of history is poorer than that of a primary school child. Your teacher of history in school would have been much ashamed to see the shameless and naive expression of your ignorance on history,” the MP wrote.

Speaking at a function here the other day, Kodiyeri said the imposition of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) on Kannur would result in clashes between the people and the Army. “If they are given extreme powers, the Army can do anything to anybody.

“If they see more than four people standing together, they can shoot them. They can even take away a woman and rape her. Nobody has the right to question them. This is the situation wherever the Army has been deployed,” Kodiyeri said.
