In one of the deadliest terror attacks in Baghdad, the death toll from a suicide bombing in a shopping district rose above 200 on Monday. One of the worst-ever single bombings in Iraq has now fueled calls for security forces to crack down on Islamic State sleeper cells.
But this is not the the first such attack in the Iraqi capital. The city has been reeling under such attacks since last one decade.
To have a clear idea on the number of deaths, a senior program officer Reza Akbari, working for the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, tweeted a map showing all the terror deaths in Baghdad since 2003.
He later made a correction with the dot marks representing every death by a terror attack, not every car bombing.

Correction: The map indicates the number of total deaths not car bombs.
