After a long and intense legal battle that lasted over two years, the International Court of Justice now ruled in favour of India, directing Pakistan to suspend his death penalty and grant consular access to him.
This is being seen as a major diplomatic victory for India. Here’s how Indian Twitter reacted to the news.
We welcome today’s verdict in the @CIJ_ICJ. Truth and justice have prevailed. Congratulations to the ICJ for a verdict based on extensive study of facts. I am sure Kulbhushan Jadhav will get justice.

By a historic verdict ICJ has saved #Kulbhushan Jadhav from the gallows. A great victory for Team India. Jadhav who hails from Satara, was unjustly framed by Pakistan on charge of spying. Count has also asked Pakistan to grant Consular Access. Pakistan must now free Kulbhushan. pic.twitter.com/zRWyPK5Klx

Interesting fact:
— Mujaid Alam Bakarwal🇮🇳 (@alam_mujaid) July 18, 2019
The verdict on Kulbhushan Jadhav was about his right to Consular Access, which was otherwise denied by Pakistan against Vienna Convention, and not his acquittal.
So, What is Pakistan and their bots exactly celebrating?🤔@AdityaRajKaul (1/2)#KulbhushanVerdict
Of course it is a proud moment for every Indians.

Some were quick to point out the hurdles in India’s way.
India prayed primarily for three: Acquittal, Release & Return of #KulbhushanJadhav. These pleas stand rejected by ICJ.
— Saqib Shahzad (@SaqibSh21700057) July 17, 2019
There was also a secondary plea for Consular Access. This stands granted.
About reviewing #KulbhushanVerdict: the court has left it to Pak, not obligated it.
Narendra Modi Welcomes the ICJ verdict.

Imran Khan appreciates the ICJ Verdict
Both having their say on Kulbhushan Jadhav in different spin
Seems Kulbhushan Jadhav not being released or freed and will remain in Pakistan
A verdict of ICJ at Hague, for review of kulbhushan jadhav’s trial by Pak has vindicated India’s stand& Pak’s sinister designs. We are on halfway only on path to victory. He must be aquitted& return home. That will be real&true moment of joy for our Nation.Till then v must keep calm.

Read the verdict carefully

"India's request… to restrain Pakistan from giving effect to the sentence or conviction…the Court finds these submissions made by India cannot be upheld"
In short, Jadhav can be hanged pic.twitter.com/DGJdozJ06o
May God give Pakis enough will power to release him and our committed govt. makes extreme efforts to get its innocent citizen released.

Keeping fingers crossed keeping in mind the rogue state of affairs that side.
