MNS chief Raj Thackeray has asked the producers of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to pay a ‘penalty’ of Rs 5 crore to the army welfare fund for having a Pakistani actor in it. He has said that amount has to be paid for the release of the film.
The decision was announced after movie’s director Karan Johar met Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Thackeray, seeking an assurance for the smooth release of the film on October 28.

Thackeray has demanded film producers give in writing that they will not work with any Pakistan artistes and technicians in the future. While Johar might have conceded to the unreasonable demand to facilitate the release of his film, people on Twitter are not very happy about it.
Here’s how Twitter has reacted to the news:
The BJP and MNS just used 19 dead armymen in Uri to increase their political stock in Mumbai city. What a thing politics is.

So @OfficeOfRG vindicated yet again; #KhoonKiDalali proven again in the despicable Rs 5 Cr ” arrangement” on #ADHM release by #BJP-MNS.

If MNS activists call themselves nationalists, there is no bigger insult to nationalism!

MNS gets 5 crore or army welfare gets 5 crores? I’d like to be ashamed as a society knowing my facts and then discarding them completely

Curious to know that aside from threatening others – what exactly has MNS donated to?
Or is a moral high ground and anger true patriotism?— Sorabh Pant (@hankypanty) October 22, 2016
MNS & Raj T aren’t the culprits here, the BJP government is. A government which can’t protect its people should be thrown in the dustbin

I think MNS is going to extend this Business Model.

@htTweets @karanjohar @Dev_Fadnavis #ADHM why such compromise let the film release and let people decide how much ‘Nationalist’ they are.

#5crores for #ADHM release I am pretty sure MNS’s party members have Sultan Mirza backgroud music as their ring tone.
