A bizarre incident just took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur district where a woman ran away with her lover ’cause her marriage was ‘eggless’. Say what?
According to the police, the woman, a resident of Campierganj, had earlier eloped with her paramour 4 months ago and after she returned, she claimed that her husband didn’t give her eggs to eat and that made her upset.
Reportedly, the woman fought with her husband for eggs on Saturday and ran away with her lover for the second time.
Her husband is a daily wage labourer and he says that he can’t afford to buy eggs every day for his family. He adds:
She was fond of eggs and her paramour regularly brought eggs for her.
Well… That was an ‘egg-cellent’ reason to break a marriage…
