Having given his all to cricket, MS Dhoni is now serving the country by joining the Indian Army, and it’s a decision that is being applauded by his peers from other nations as well.
West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell, for instance, shared a video of Dhoni being conferred with the Padma Bhushan last year and saluted his spirit of working for his countrymen.
I shared this video with friends and family because they know how I feel about honour but the moment between wife and husband truly shows an inspirational kind of love for country and partner. Please enjoy as I did. pic.twitter.com/Pre28KWAFD

This man is an inspiration on the cricket field. But he is also a patriot and a man that gives to his country beyond duty. I have been at home in Jamaica with my boys these past weeks and had time to reflect (1/2)

Thoroughly enjoyed your performance and specially your celebration in the Worldcup hope you deliver more and more salutes on and off the field. 💪💪
Hailing from Jamaica, Cottrell also serves the army of his country. And the pride associated with that could be seen every time he celebrated a wicket with a military-style salute to the pavillion.
