There’s no getting around the crazy heat this summer has brought with it. Not unless you have loads and loads of chilled beer coming to your rescue!

And the blessed people at Doolally micro-brewery in Pune – who see beer drinking for the true athletic pursuit that it is – have come to our rescue with just the thing! They’re holding what they’ve called the ‘Beer Olympics‘ and this is the stuff dreams are made of.

On May 20th, teams of 4 ‘beer athletes’ each will compete at the beer haven at Corinthians, Pune, in a series of ree-DONK-ulously fun drinking games to vie for the glorious grand prize of 10 litres of beer and the highly-coveted ‘Golden Mug’. What games, you ask? Allow us to elaborate.

Apart from the big win of 10 litres of beer, each game will have its own individual prizes – all of which add up to winnings worth upto ₹50,000 in beer!

Tresha Guha over at Doolally told ScoopWhoop that the beer lovers are pouring in from all over for this ultimate showdown, with a considerable number of registrations from Mumbai, and one team – hilariously called ‘The Locals’ – coming in all the way from the U.S.A.

For ₹8,000 (₹2,000 per head) each team of four will not only put themselves in the running for what appears to be India’s greatest tribute to our undying love for beer, but also a Beer Olympic Kit which includes a t-shirt, a snack box, and well, a bit more beer (duh!) among other goodies.

So what are you waiting for?! Head on over to Pune this magical summer weekend for the chillest, funnest time beer degenerates like us can possibly have. And make sure you wear your chugging pants.
