Team India is in Sri Lanka for a 3-match Test series and former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra has stated that the most experienced Indian bowler, Ishant Sharma, is also the least talented.
Nehra explained that all the other speedsters in the squad – Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron and Bhuvneshwar Kumar – are naturally gifted but Ishant is all about hard work.
The 36-year-old left-armer further explained that talent is of no good if you don’t work hard and it is Ishant’s dedication that has made him the leader of the pack.
Ishant has played 62 Tests so far and has an abysmal bowling average of 37. His strike-rate of 67 is laughable.
