Wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav became the third Indian to take a hat-trick in ODIs during the second match of the ongoing series between India and Australia at the Eden Gardens.

The chinaman bowler stunned Aussie batsmen with his guile as he etched his name in an elite list by achieving the feat in the 33rd over. The young spinner dismissed Matthew Wade, Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins on successive deliveries.

Kuldeep is the third bowler in the history to take a hat-tick for India after Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev. The last hat-trick in ODIs by an Indian bowler was taken by Kapil in 1991 against Sri Lanka. Kuldeep is also the first bowler to take a hat-trick in Under-19 ODIs as well as in ODIs. He achieved the same feat against Scotland U19 in the 2014 U19 World Cup.

Kuldeep’s extraordinary achievement sent Twitter into a meltdown.

India defeated Australia by 50 runs in the second ODI to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
