Elated from seeing BJP on course for landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh, BJP senior leader Sushil Kumar Modi decided to mock RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadad, who had been diligently campaigning for SP-Congress alliance in UP.
In a snide attack on Lalu, Sushil Modi asked him for his reaction to the poll results.
Not being the one to take insult sitting down, Lalu had a fitting response for the senior BJP leader clearly high on BJP sweeping both Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand with a clear majority in the state assembly election.
"I'm fine. Not letting you enter Uttar Pradesh has worked to the BJP's benefit," he said.
ठीक बा। देखा ना, बीजेपी ने तुम्हें यूपी में नहीं घुसने दिया तो फायदा हुआ। https://t.co/KBzqOjGdzM— Lalu Prasad Yadav (@laluprasadrjd) March 11, 2017
Sushil Modi's bid for the Rajya Sabha came to naught in May last year after alleged party rivals from Bihar did not support his nomination.
This is not the first time Sushil Modi has laid on Lalu. He had earlier mocked Lalu saying that by making his 'illiterate wife the chief minister and his sons minister', he has not allowed anyone else in his party to come forward.
