On Saturday, Secunderabad Railway Police arrested a 25-year-old woman with 100 kg of ganja worth Rs 15 lakh at the Secunderabad station. Apparently, the woman was trying to smuggle ganja to raise funds needed for a coaching programme for the government teacher's exam.

The woman, who is from Vishakapatnam, was arrested with her cousin and another man from Odhisa, reported The News Time.

Babitha, a B.Ed degree holder was in a desperate need of money for coaching for the District Selection Committee entrance exam after her husband, Ganesh, left her for another woman.

An official of the Government Railway Police, Secunderabad told The News Time, “Babitha is a degree holder and she wanted to secure a job. The drug smugglers took advantage of her financial situation.''

As per reports by The Hindu, Babitha and the other two accused were offered 5,000 each to carry ganja packed in 15-20kg packets, from Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Sholapur in Maharashtra.
