A group of hackers has claimed that it has the data of over 200 million Apple accounts, and it is now trying to extort Apple to pay it a ransom of $75,000 in Bitcoin or Ethereum, or $100,000 worth of iTunes gift cards.

According to Motherboard, the hackers, who call themselves ‘Turkish Crime Family’, have provided screenshots of emails between them and the Apple security team.

The hackers have allegedly uploaded a YouTube video of them logging in by using some of the stolen Apple accounts.

In the screenshots provided by the group to Motherboard, one of Apple’s staff allegedly tells the members to remove the video, and adds that Apple does not award cyber criminals.

Meanwhile, a Twitter account of the group also stated that it would wipe clean 200 million iCloud accounts on April 7, 2017 if Apple doesn’t pay them the demanded amount.
