Are you one of those who are concerned about privacy and thinks Apple iPhones can protect your data in the best possible way? Well, think again because this news about Apple’s Siri may shatter your trust.
After Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant, a report by The Guardian says, Apple admitted that a small portion of user conversations (with Siri) goes to the contracted workers for the review. According to Apple, this process takes place to improve the quality and accuracy of responses that Siri gives to its users.
Though the recordings are not linked to users’ Apple IDs it may contain crucial information such as location, contact details and even the app data.
Apple says, Siri responses are analysed in secure facilities and all reviewers are under the obligation to adhere to Apple’s strict confidentiality requirements and less than 1 percent of daily Siri requests which just few seconds long, gets reviewed using this process.
Is there a solution?
As of now, there is no way to stop Siri from recording your conversations while actively using it. Having said that, you can fully disable Siri but that won’t allow you to use it in any way or form.
