Samsung is known for bringing the latest hardware on their non-flagship smartphones before implementing them on flagships. The latest roadmap leak suggests that the company might do the same for the next year also as the mid-range A series might be the first to get their latest 108-megapixels sensor.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore tweeted a leaked roadmap according to which the next year’s Samsung Galaxy A91 might be the first phone from Samsung to offer a 108-megapixel camera sensor. He also indicated that in the year 2020, the company may launch as many as eight smartphones- the Galaxy A21, Galaxy A31, Galaxy A41, Galaxy A51, Galaxy A61, Galaxy A71, Galaxy A81, and Galaxy A91.

If Samsung follows the trend, its 108-megapixel sensor will be able to produce 27-megapixel resolution images through the pixel binning technology.

Earlier this week, Samsung has showcased its latest 108-megapixel sensor called ISOCELL Bright HMX. However, the first phone equipped with this sensor will be from Xiaomi.
