In association with MakeMyTrip

India is a vast country. And it has so many beautiful secrets just waiting to be discovered. Every 50 kilometres we travel, we find something new — a new dialect, a new culture, cuisine, or maybe just a hidden alcove that nobody knows about. But as tourists, we ignore all of these secrets that our country has to offer and end up going to the same more popular destinations over and over again.

Which is why, on the occasion of Republic Day, MakeMyTrip has come out with a film, showing us just how much of our own country we’re missing out on. This video, a part of MMT’s #MyIndia campaign and beautifully narrated by Vijay Raaz, shows us that for every Gateway of India, there is a Lonar, waiting to be explored. And that maybe somewhere that is the kind of India worth exploring, since the more popular places are overcrowded and susceptible to becoming tourist traps.

And that is not all, MakeMyTrip will also be launching India’s first ever online travel parade. Starting from tomorrow, MakeMyTrip is sending 36 influencers from the worlds of travel, photography and lifestyle, to visit every state along with union territories to discover some of its unseen destinations.

Celebs such as Virender Sehwag, Mary Kom, Sunil Chhetri, Saina Nehwal, Mohd Siraj, Guru Randhawa, and Pankaj Tripathi will be cheering on some of our most loved influencers like Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying Beast, Savi and Vid from Bruised Passports, Tanya Khanijow, Shenaz Treasurywala and many more. These influencers will travel for 45 days and will give us a virtual tour of all the hidden gems they discover during their trip. These destinations are going to be so magical, you can’t afford to miss it.

To know more about their journeys and travel stories, follow MMT on social media and be prepared to note down all the places for your next travel journey!
