The son of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and his friends allegedly assaulted and stabbed a toll plaza employee on Monday when he asked them to pay the fare.
The incident happened at the Kadthal toll plaza on the Srisailam highway in Rangareddy district when Manish Goud, son of TRS corporator Laxmi Prasanna of Hyderabad’s BN Reddy Nagar, attacked the employee with a knife.
According to a report by India Today, Manish and his friends stabbed the toll gate staff with a knife when he asked them to a pay a toll fee of Rs 30. The accused, who were in an inebriated state, also attacked other toll plaza staff members.

The incident was captured on camera. The video shows a group of youngsters manhandling another man whose clothes have been ripped off. One of the youngsters is also seen chasing someone with a knife.
Police have arrested all six accused, and booked them under Section 307 of the IPC (Attempt to murder), reports The News Minute.

Meanwhile, TRS corporator Laxmi Prasanna in a press conference said that his son Manish was accompanying the two accused who were his friends but he didn’t attack anyone. He added that in the CCTV footage, the person who is seen holding a knife was his friend and not him. An eyewitness also confirmed that Manish wasn’t involved in the crime.
