In a shocking incident, two minor girls were allegedly stripped of their school uniform in Bihar’s Begusarai and forced to walk home in a semi-naked condition after their father failed to pay the fee for school uniform on time, reports ANI.
The girls are sisters and belong to Veerpur village in the district.
The incident took place on Friday when Chunchun Sah went to pick up his daughters after school, where a teacher asked Sah to get the money for the uniforms immediately.
BR Education Academy school, located in Sikraula village, had given school uniforms to the two girls, who were supposed to pay for them. Sah told The Indian Express “I pleaded for some time to deposit the fee, but the teacher stripped my daughters on the spot in front of everyone.”
Police told News18 that a teacher, Anjana Kumari, and school director NK Jha, were arrested on Friday night after the father of the girls filed a complaint against them.
The incident was condemned by the state education minister Ashok Chaudhary, who has promised to launch an investigation into the matter.
