Pati Patni Aur Woh‘s trailer received a significant amount of backlash and rightfully so for a dialogue that joked about rape. Now, a report by Bollywood Hungama states that the makers got ‘carried away’ while assigning Kartik Aaryan the monologue.

The report also says that after the popularity Kartik Aaryan’s monologue in Pyar Ka Punchnama gained popularity, the makers felt this would do the same. They have agreed that the monologue is offensive and have vouched to edit it out of the film. Here is what the dialogue said:

Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex naa de, toh hum atyaachari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain.

-Pati

The fact that this offensive dialogue is being removed is a good step towards making conscious decisions in Bollywood.
