Kapoor has revealed that he had accepted an invitation to tea from Ibrahim in 1988 when he visited Dubai to attend a concert by Asha Bhosle and RD Burman. He also explains why he didn’t feel there was anything wrong in meeting the gangster at that time.

The second meeting, the actor reveals, was more random at a shopping store in Dubai in 1989 while he was accompanied by his wife Neetu Singh.

The actor may have come from a filmy background but the struggle, he believes, was equally challenging as he emerged as a romantic hero at a time when only action-oriented films were working in the film industry.
