I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; a lot of people don’t respect Bollywood because they think that it steals ideas from foreign films and ends up making crores for itself. Personally, I don’t believe that. I believe, that Bollywood doesn’t steal any ideas; they actually have none to begin with. And yet, it ends up making crores. You have to respect that.
The laziness of our movie industry is, however, not solely limited to screenwriting, but it extends to almost every aspect of film-making, which requires effort. That includes songwriting and composition.
