Agrima Joshua’s recent stand-up comedy on UP is the Texas of India unfolds some hilarious, poignant, and brilliant comparison between the two places.

She satirises violence in UP, by slyly hinting at ‘cowboys’ and ‘encounters’.

She also jokes about how the face of Christianity in UP is so different from the textbook image of Christianity that pops up in our head.

Here churches are called girjaghars, Father is called paadri ji, and at the Church you’ve harmonium playing alongside dholak and tabla
