Statues have always seemed a little megalomaniacal to me. I get it, you want to pay tribute to someone great, but buzz off and use your own money please. That’s how I feel anyway. They are useful, however, at providing a few amused smirks and giggles, mostly through vandalism or witty rebellion. With the right pose and the correct shutter speed, things can look pretty hilarious.
